Staying fit in the winter

Feeling a little flat? It's normal, it's the season, but that's no reason to let yourself go! We interviewed Julie, our company nurse, who gave us some cool tips to get back on track. How do you stay fit in the cold season?

Take a deep breath!

Go outside, even when it's cold. You don't have to run a marathon, just a walk outside during your lunch break is enough to refresh your body and mind and get some vitamin D.

Secondly, listen to your body and take good care of yourself. It is important to have cocooning moments at home: a good plaid, hot chocolate, a little peace and quiet. On the other hand, we should also encourage moments of celebration and sharing, which are excellent for morale!

Finally, the sun is setting earlier, try to do the same. Sleep is restorative and makes your immune system recover. If you have small children, this is inevitably more complicated, we wish you lots of courage. :)

Declare war on viruses

Colds, gastroenteritis, bronchitis, influenza... These diseases are contracted through the air or through contact.

Rule No. 1: wash your hands regularly with soap and water (including your nails). You can also disinfect your hands occasionally with disinfectant hand gel, but only to be used on clean hands.

Rule n°2: to keep germs at bay, air the office for at least 15 minutes every morning.

Rule n°3: a keyboard harbours 400 times more bacteria than a toilet bowl. So get into the habit of regularly wiping down your working tools with disinfectant wipes.

One last tip: if you are already a bit ill, think of your colleagues and cough into your elbow, this will prevent the transmission of germs!

Stay healthy, eat more fruit

The trump card for the heart: kiwi, a fruit full of vitamins! Anti-cancer, slimming, energy, healing, cardio-protective.... Kiwis have many advantages.

A great classic: the apple, which is known for its antioxidant properties and vitamin content. Moreover, an apple is practical to eat. There is even a saying: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

Bonus: honey, only made in France, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. It strengthens the immune system and that is essential in these winter months.

If you don't like kiwis, apples or honey, you can still eat cabbage, carrots and potatoes! In any case, opt for natural vitamin intake with seasonal fruit and vegetables instead of tablets.

Take care :)
