Stretching exercises for the arms

To relieve body tension in the office, sports trainer José Stimbre offers 3 simple exercises to stretch the arms in the office. Goal: relaxation and releasing tension!

Before starting the exercises, adopt the correct posture: sit with your knees at a 90-degree angle and your feet flat.
Do not lean against the backrest and bring your shoulders somewhat back.
1EXERCISE NO. 1: STRETCHING
THE BICEPS
  • Place your hand in front of you.
  • While exhaling, grasp the palm of your hand and then flex your wrist. Gently guiding: you should not feel any significant tension in the wrist, but rather a certain stretching in the forearm and biceps.
Breathe in and out a few times and then change sides.

2EXERCISE TWO: STRETCHING
THE FOREARMS
  • Stretch your arm forward.
  • Grasp your hand with the other hand.
  • While exhaling, bring your wrist downwards. Stop before any pain occurs: you should feel a slight tension in your forearm.
  • Inhale, exhale and switch sides.
Take it easy, it is a fragile joint!

3EXERCISE NO. 3: STRETCHING
THE TRICEPS
  • Place your hand on your shoulder blade.
  • Grasp your elbow with your other hand.
  • While exhaling, bring your elbow slightly backwards.
Repeat with the other arm.
