Controleer zorgvuldig welke toetsenbordindeling gewenst is en gebruik hiervoor de filters binnen de categorie.

De toetsenbordindeling verschilt per land en is historisch en taalkundig bepaald. In België en Luxemburg is AZERTY dominant, vooral vanwege het frequente gebruik van Franse accenten. In Nederland wordt vrijwel uitsluitend QWERTY gebruikt, wat aansluit bij het Engels-georiënteerde computergebruik. Daarnaast bestaat QWERTZ, een indeling die vaak wordt aangeduid als het “Zwitserse toetsenbord”, omdat deze vooral voorkomt in Zwitserland, Luxemburg en Duitstalige regio’s.
